Donate to Bring Pinata Making to ABM

I'm working with some amazing folks at the Antique Boats Museum in Clayton, NY as well as the great gents of Mare Liberum to build boats this summer upstate. I want to also bring the skills of pinata making to the children of Clayton and we could use a little extra funding to ensure this happens.

Please check out our Kickstarted and if you feel so inclined- DONATE!!!

Pinatas are for ALL Ages!

I have recently been outragiously lucky to have been accepted in Seniors Partnering with Artists Citywide (SPARC), a community arts engagement program that places artistsinresidence at senior centers across the five boroughs of New York City. Through the program, 50 artists provide creative programming for seniors and present free public events displaying a diverse array of projects this spring and summer. SPARC is a collaboration among the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the Department for the Aging and the City's five local arts councils. The program was developed in 2009 as part of the Mayor’s AgeFriendly NYC initiative, and is supported, in part, by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.  For more information, visit www.nyc.gov/culture

I have been teaching, as well as learning a lot I must say, for about two months at the Fort Greene Grant Square Senior Center. I have had the luck of getting to know some of the most amazing, passionate, spiritual, funny and unbelievably talented woman I have met in a long time. This has truly been a wonderful experience and I am really excited for our big Pinata Fiesta Thursday April 5th.

Here are some snapshots from the great workshops.
